Resumo: Neste artigo, objetiva-se examinar, a reflexão de Hannah Arendt sobre as principais revoluções modernas e contemporâneas, destacando, por um lado a perda do espírito revolucionário; e por outro, o ressurgir da esperança através do fenômeno da liberdade política, que aparece na atualidade por meio da experiência do sistema de conselhos presente na Revolução Húngara. Para tanto, nos deteremos na análise das obras On Revolution (1963), The OriginsTotalitarianism (1951), e, também, do artigo ReflectionsontheHungarian Revolution (1958), onde nossa autora propõe uma análise do sistema de conselhos e de sua significação política para nosso tempo.

For this purpose, the works On Revolution (1963), The OriginsTotalitarianism (1951), as well as the article Reflectionson the Hungarian Revolution (1958), in whichtheauthorproposesananalysisonthecouncil system and its meaning to our times, Will be analyzed in this paper.
