Resumo: O texto trata da faculdade do juízo em relação à política no pensamento de Hannah Arendt. Examina os fragmentos deixados pela autora acerca da capacidade de julgar como condição indispensável ao pensamento político, escritos que tomaram como fundamento a obra Crítica da Faculdade do Juízo de Kant. Expõe a conflitiva relação entre filosofia e política, da qual a filósofa se ocupou ao longo de sua vida. Por fim, explora a reflexão como exercício necessário à compreensão dos acontecimentos políticos. A compreensão, para a autora, era condição para a preservação do mundo comum.

Abstract: The text deals with the faculty of the judgment in relation to the politics in the thought of Hannah Arendt. It examines the fragments left by the author about the capacity to judge as indispensable condition to the political thought, writings that were based on the Critical work of the Faculty of the Judgment of Kant. It exposes the conflicting relationship between philosophy and politics, which the philosopher has occupied throughout her life. Finally, it explores reflection as a necessary exercise in understanding political events. Understanding, for the author, was a condition for the preservation of the common world.
