RESUMO: O presente texto tem por proposta estudar as ideias de práxis política elaboradas pelo filósofo italiano Antônio Gramsci (1891-1937), destacando o sujeito e os pressupostos que condicionam ou não a realização dessa práxis. Mostrando o vislumbre realista e transformador, as possibilidades e os limites da ação do sujeito (ação política) e as pretensões de uma postura político-filosófica no mundo hodierno. Tomamos como bases teóricas as obras do autor que tratam mais especificamente do objeto proposto, tais como; Concepção dialética da história; Maquiavel, a política e o estado moderno; Cadernos do Cárcere, bem como de leitura seletiva de outros textos que deram subsídios ao pensamento do autor, a fim de fundamentar o presente artigo.

ABSTRACT: This text is proposed to study the ideas for political praxis developed by the Italian philosopher Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937), highlighting the subject and assumptions that affect the performance or not this practice. Showing the realistic approach and transforming, the possibilities and limits of action of the subject (political action) and the claims of a political and philosophical stance in today’s world. We take as the theoretical basis of the author’s works that deal more specifically the object proposed, such as; dialectical conception of history, Machiavelli, politics and the modern state, the Prison Notebooks, as well as selective reading of other texts that gave subsidies to the thinking of author in order to substantiate this article.
