RESUMO: Os debates atuais sobre a vida assumem um discurso científico e um filosófico. Pelo discurso científico, em geral, recaímos em um reducionismo biológico materialista, e no filosófico assumimos o discurso do sentido, e este é ontológico. No presente texto, propomos-nos uma análise dessas teorias e em que sentido podemos falar de uma ontologia integral que suprassuma estas supracitadas teorias. Buscamos uma ontologia integral, sob a qual possamos justificar uma ação responsável sobre a vida.

ABSTRACT :The current debates about life assume a scientific and a philosophical discourse. By scientific discourse, in general, we revert to a materialistic biological reductionism, and in the philosophical we assume the discourse of meaning, and this is ontological. In the present text, we propose an analysis of these theories and in what sense we can speak of an integral ontology that surpasses (suprassuma) these above-mentioned theories. We seek an integral ontology, under which we can justify responsible action on life.
