Resumo: Este artigo busca ser relevante ao atual debate acerca da análise semântica e do conceito de verdade na tradição filosófica. Para tanto, se estudará aqui o conceito de semântica e verdade em Alfred Tarski (1901-1983), em especial, a partir do livro A Concepção Semântica da Verdade. Serão estudados, ao longo do artigo, os conceitos tarskianos definição, adequação material, correção formal, definição recursiva, linguagem L, verdade e semântica e a sua rejeição do paradoxo do mentiroso. Tudo isso tendo em vista contribuir para o conhecimento da sua obra e ser útil ao atual debate acadêmico.

Abstract: This article seeks to be relevant to the current debate on the semantic analysis and the concept of truth in the philosophical tradition. So, we will consider here the concept of truth and of semantics in Alfred Tarski (1901-1983), in particular, from the book The Semantic Conception of Truth. Throughout the article, we will study the tarskians concepts of definition, material suitability, formal correction, recursive definition, language L, truth, semantic and his rejection of the liar’s paradox. All this with a view to contribute to the knowledge of his work and be useful to the current academic debate.
