 RESUMO: A tarefa da Filosofia Política repousa fundamentalmente sobre a reflexão e a práxis no cotidiano. O Estado Democrático de Direito legitima a participação dos indivíduos mediante a formação da opinião pública e, principalmente, pelo princípio da liberdade. Nela, cada cidadão pode participar livremente da vida política da sua cidade, Estado, país. Só que no interior do processo de formação da opinião pública e da participação política-democrática existe amiúde, talvez nem sempre, a tentativa de obscurecer, engessar, tais procedimentos por parte de quem detém o poder. Pretendo nesse artigo apresentar o princípio da participação política sob o enfoque metafórico do “mundo de Oz”, uma realidade distinta daquilo que deve ser a política pública. Assim, esse mesmo “dever ser” orienta a tarefa do saber filosófico político no intuito de refazer-se peremptoriamente no tocante à reflexão e à práxis emancipatória.

ABSTRACT: The task of political philosophy focuses on reflection and praxis in everyday life. The Democratic State legitimizes the participation of individuals through the formation of public opinion and especially the principle of freedom. In it, every citizen may freely participate in the political life of their city, state, country. Except that within the process of shaping public opinion and political participation-democratic there often, maybe not always, attempting to obscure, plastering such procedures on the part of those in power. I intend to submit this article the principle of political participation under the metaphorical approach of “World of Oz”, a different reality from what should be a public policy. Thus, this same “should be” – Sollen – guides the task of political philosophical knowledge in order to reflection and emancipatory praxis.
