Resumo: O artigo é uma reflexão filosófica sobre o conceito ocidental da filosofia, que, como muito bem nos lembrou Hegel (1976), o ato de dizer o que é a filosofia é já uma tarefa filosófica e isso somente será legítimo quando for feito filosoficamente.  Definir o que é a filosofia em sua mais ampla significação e, ao mesmo tempo, em sua essencialidade, eis o que nos propomos a tratar aqui. Na busca de respostas para tal problemática, o artigo privilegia o estudo teórico-bibliográfico de caráter analítico-exploratório, orientando-se pelo horizonte metodológico do pensamento dialético, à medida em que tenta superar duas posturas parciais de compreensão da natureza da filosofia, que é a filosofia como problema, enquanto postura crítica, e a da filosofia como sistema, portanto um saber metafísico.  O objetivo é investigar a possibilidade de superação dessa visão dicotômica e dualista de compreensão da filosofia, como em geral acontece na tradição ocidental. E, neste sentido, em suma, propomos superar tal dualismo conceitual acerca da natureza da filosofia através de uma visão sintética desse saber, que é o que tematizamos como sendo uma reflexão problematizante e sistematizante sobre o sentido da verdade.

Abstract: The article is a philosophical reflection on the concept of Western philosophy, which, as Hegel (1976) very well told us, the act of saying what philosophy is already a philosophical task and this will only be legitimate when it is done philosophically. What is philosophy in its broadest meaning and, at the same time, in its most intense essentiality, this is what we propose to address here. In the search for answers to this problem, the article privileges the theoretical-bibliographic study of an analytical-exploratory character, guided by the methodological horizon of dialectical thinking with a Hegelian feature, as it tries to overcome two partial positions of understanding of the nature of philosophy, which is philosophy as a problem (critical stance) and philosophy as a system (metaphysical knowledge). The objective is to investigate the possibility of overcoming this dichotomous (dualist) view of understanding philosophy, as it usually happens. And, in this sense, in short, we propose to overcome such conceptual dualism of the nature of philosophy through a synthetic view of it, which is what we thematize as a problematizing and systematizing reflection on the meaning of truth.
