Resumo: O texto explora a evolução das concepções sobre a significação das palavras, contrastando a visão tradicional, que enfatiza a interpretação individual das palavras, om a abordagem de Wittgenstein, que destaca a contextualização social da linguagem. Wittgenstein propõe uma concepção intersubjetiva da linguagem, na qual o sentido das palavras é construído através da interação social e cultural. Essa mudança de perspectiva implica uma crítica à visão anterior da primeira fase de Wittgenstein. Na segunda fase, ele percebe que as palavras adquirem significado no contexto social, e a linguagem é vista como uma ação, uma condição para a comunicação e um fenômeno social. O sentido das palavras é moldado pelo contexto cultural e temporal, emergindo de grupos e épocas específicas. A linguagem é vista como tendo duas dimensões: a ação de falar e o conteúdo da fala. O filósofo é encarregado de julgar se há contradições performativas, ou seja, inconsistências entre o conteúdo verbal e a ação comunicativa subjacente. O texto propõe uma abordagem filosófica para analisar discursos, levando em consideração elementos como contexto, pretexto, texto e contradição performativa. Essa abordagem é aplicada ao discurso de demissão de Sérgio Moro do cargo de Ministro da Justiça e Segurança Pública do Brasil.

Abstract: The text explores the evolution of conceptions about the meaning of words, contrasting the traditional view, which emphasizes the individual interpretation of words, with Wittgenstein’s approach, which highlights the social contextualization of language. Wittgenstein proposes an intersubjective conception of language, in which the meaning of words is constructed through social and cultural interaction. This change of perspective implies a critique of Wittgenstein’s previous view of the first phase. In the second phase, he realizes that words acquire meaning in the social context, and language is seen as an action, a condition for communication and a social phenomenon. The meaning of words is shaped by the cultural and temporal context, emerging from specific groups and times. Language is seen as having two dimensions: the action of speaking and the content of speaking. The philosopher is in charge of judging whether there are performative contradictions, that is, inconsistencies between the verbal content and the underlying communicative action. The text proposes a philosophical approach to analyzing speeches, taking into account elements such as context, pretext, text and performative contradiction. This approach is applied to Sérgio Moro’s resignation speech from the position of Minister of Justice and Public Security of Brazil.
