Resumo: Pretendemos nesse trabalho apresentar alguns aspectos importantes que marcam as atividades da vita activa, a saber, trabalho, obra, ação, em sua relação com a natureza terrestre e com o mundo humano. O nosso foco é apontar como Hannah Arendt reconsidera o valor de cada uma dessas atividadesquando elas são examinadas sob a luz do amor mundi.Esse recorte permite-nos perceber que, mesmo tecendo duras críticas ao processo de desvalorização da ação no mundo moderno, Arendt compreende a necessidade de reavaliarmos de que modo o ato de trabalhar e fabricar podem contribuir ou não para a criação e manutenção do mundo. E, já de início, vamos colocar a seguinte questão: Que tipo de mundo existe para o animal laborans, o homo faber e o homo politicus? Guiados por essa questão, podemos começar a ver, com Arendt, o modo como os homens compreendem e julgam o mundo quando estão envolvidos nas atividades relacionadas com a vita activa.

Abstract:In this paper we intend to present some important aspects that mark the activities of the vita activa, namely, labor, work, action, in its relationship with the terrestrial nature and the human world. Our focus is on how Hannah Arendt reconsiders the value of each of these activities when they are examined in the light of amor mundi. This aspect allows us to understandthat, even with harsh criticism of the process of devaluation of action in the modern world, Arendt seems to point to need to reassess how the men laboring and manufacturing may or may not contribute to the creation and maintenance of the world. And, from the outset, let’s ask the question: What kind of world is there for animal laborans, homo faber and homo politicus? Guided by this question, we can begin to see, with Arendt, the way men understand and judge the world when they are involved in activities related to vita activa.
