Resumo: Este trabalho busca investigar o problema filosófico por excelência, a saber, o suicídio. A pretensão é saber se o suicídio pode ser uma das possíveis conseqüências do absurdo, ou seja, se há uma lógica que leve da constatação do absurdo ao suicídio. A partir do momento em que o absurdo, isto é, a inadequação ontológica entre o homem e mundo, é reconhecido como uma paixão dilacerante a questão é saber se devemos viver conscientes da absurdidade da existência ou se a renuncia do existir é uma atitude coerente perante o absurdo.

Abstract: The article tries to investigate the philosophical problem by excellence, that is, suicide. The assumption is to know if suicide can by one of the possible consequences of the absurd, that is, if there is a logic the leads from evidencing the absurd to suicide. From the moment absurd, that is, the ontological inadequacy between man and world, is recognized as a dilacerating passion, the question is to know is if we should live conscious of existence‟s absurdity or if the renounce of existence is a coherent attitude towards the absurd.
