Resumo: Falar sobre a vida e a morte é importante e necessário porque, entre outras coisas, fazem parte da nossa natureza, onde refletir sobre vida e morte como fatos biológicos, seria menos complexo, entretanto, o problema, porém, ganha um contorno diferente quando procuramos falar filosoficamente. Desse modo, falar sobre o suicídio, assunto esse antigo e ao mesmo tempo atualizado, pois apesar de todas as discussões, o problema é caracterizado como tabu e estigma carregados até os dias de hoje, onde foram se sedimentando com o passar do tempo, e o progresso científico sempre levanta novas questões que precisam ser debatidas, oferecendo algumas considerações que podem ampliar o debate sobre o problema do suicídio, uma temática que permanece silenciosa em grande parte das discussões acadêmicas. Em linhas gerais, surge questionamentos: O ser humano tem o direito de tirar sua própria vida? A partir, surgiram os defensores do polêmico tema. O objetivo do artigo é expor e analisar o dilema do suicídio com base na filosofia de Hegel, apresentando o conceito de suicídio. Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica, interpretativa e de análise crítica linguística, histórica e hermenêutica dos escritos de Hegel, com base em textos clássicos.

Abstract: Talking about life and death is important and necessary because, among other things, they are part of our nature, where reflecting on life and death as biological facts would be less complex, however, the problem, however, takes on a different contour when we look for speak philosophically. In this way, talking about suicide, a subject that is old and at the same time updated, because despite all the discussions, the problem is characterized as a taboo and stigma carried to the present day, where it has been sedimented over time, and Scientific progress always raises new questions that need to be debated, offering some considerations that can broaden the debate on the problem of suicide, a theme that remains silent in most academic discussions. In general, questions arise: Does the human being have the right to take his own life? From there, the defenders of the controversial topic emerged. The objective of the article is to expose and analyze the dilemma of suicide based on Hegel’s philosophy, presenting the concept of suicide. It is a bibliographical, interpretative review and a linguistic, historical and hermeneutic critical analysis of Hegel’s writings, based on classical texts.
