 Resumo: Neste artigo, pretendemos analisar uma das mais importantes questões relativas à maneira como Averróis relaciona o homem às substâncias separadas da matéria. A conjunção com o intelecto agente separado, compreendida pela Falsafa como a base para a aquisição ou a produção do conhecimento no homem, será analisada por Averróis em diversos momentos de sua obra, passando a constituir um aspecto fundamental de sua noética no Grande Comentário ao De Anima. Para isso, será necessário associá-la a um conjunto de teses que também serão desenvolvidas nesta obra, como a teoria do duplo suporte dos inteligíveis, e a polêmica tese do intelecto material separado e único para toda espécie humana, que parece limitar o escopo da atividade intelectual do homem à produção de intenções através dos sentidos internos, principalmente, por meio da vis cogitativa. Neste sentido, nossa análise se concentrará no desenvolvimento da conjunção no comentário 36 do Grande comentário ao De Anima, onde Averróis parece fornecer um quadro mais detalhado da questão.

Abstract: This paper aims to analyze what can be considered as one of the most important questions concerning the way that Averroes relates man to the separated substances. The conjunction with the separate agent intellect, understood by the Falsafa as the basis for the acquisition or production of knowledge in man, will be analyzed by Averroes at various moments in his intellectual work, becoming a fundamental aspect of his noetics in the Great Commentary to De Anima. For this, it will be necessary to associate it with a set of theses which will also be developed in this paper, such as the theory of the double support of intelligibles, and the controversial thesis of the separate and unique material intellect for all human species, which seems to limit the scope of activity to the production of intentions through the internal senses, mainly through the vis cogitativa. In this sense, our analysis will focus on the development of the conjunction in comment 36 of the Great Commentary on De Anima, where Averroes seems to provide a more detailed picture of the issue.
