RESUMO: O presente estudo visa mostrar qual tem sido, na maioria das vezes, o uso da técnica e suas variantes tecnológicas, conjugada com outros elementos que fazem parte da vida humana como um todo. Essa pesquisa percorrerá um período relativamente recente e, talvez, o mais emblemático da história humana, no qual o homem alcançou um poder quase que ilimitado sobre a natureza. Nesse cenário de ganhos e perdas surge a figura magistral de Hans Jonas, filósofo alemão do século XX, que denunciou abertamente os reais perigos nos quais o homem moderno se encontra ao transmitir uma confiança praticamente cega desse novo modo de se viver, que é a vida aliada à técnica. Este filósofo também se arrisca a dar sua contribuição: lança as bases para uma nova ética, sendo futurista, a propósito, fazendo uma releitura do passado no presente atual, além de expor sua preocupação em garantir a vida de todas as pessoas e da natureza que as circunda. Proteger a vida em todo o seu conjunto é tarefa de todos. Por isso, um olhar crítico deve sempre pautar a conduta humana nesse campo e não uma aceitação barata, tácita, que, em não raras vezes, coloca a vida em constante ameaça.

ABSTRACT: This study aims to show what has been, in most cases, the use of the technique and it‟s technological variants, combined with other elements that are part of human life as a whole. This research will cover a relatively recent period, and perhaps the most emblematic of human history, in which man has achieved almost unlimited power over nature. In this scenario, the gains and losses masterful figure of Hans Jonas, a German philosopher of the twentieth century, who openly denounced the real dangers that modern man, is to convey an almost blind in this new way of living trust, which is life, arise combined with the technique. This philosopher also risks giving their contribution: it lays the foundations for a new ethic, being futuristic, by the way, doing a reinterpretation of the past in the present gift, besides exposing his concern to safeguard the lives of all people and nature that surrounds them. Protect life in all it‟s entirety is everyone’s job. Therefore, a critical eye should always be guided human conduct in this field and not a cheap acceptance, tacit, that, not infrequently, a life constant threat.
