Resumo: O espaço público, ao ser observado sob a ótica da perspectiva política, está diretamente relacionado aos locais físicos derivados da experiência na Grécia na antiga, onde surgiram as Ágoras que se destinavam ao debate das questões políticas e sociais da sociedade, e representados nas praças, parques e instalações físicas que abrigam o Poder Legislativo nas suas três esferas em que se divide o ente federativo, o Congresso Nacional, as Assembleias Legislativas e as Câmaras Municipais. O surgimento de novos instrumentos de comunicação de massa, através da utilização das redes sociais, possibilitou a criação de um novo ambiente direcionado à discussão das questões políticas e sociais, representado pelo mundo virtual que o recurso da internet possibilita. Dessa forma, a discussão política passou a se dar não apenas dentro dos espaços públicos tradicionais, mas, também, no novo espaço virtual. O presente artigo objetiva discutir o espaço público tradicional e, a partir dele, através da aplicação de um método de abordagem dedutivo, observar a importância que representa os espaços públicos contemporâneos, vinculados a utilização das redes sociais.

Abstract: The public space, to be observed from the perspective of political perspective, is directly related to derivatives physical locations of experience in Greece in the former, where did the Agoras were intended to debate political and social issues of society, and represented in the markets, parks and physical facilities that house the legislature in its three spheres which divides the federal entity, the National Congress, Legislative Assemblies and City Councils. The emergence of new mass communication tools through the use of social networks, enabled the creation of a new environment directed to the discussion of political and social issues, represented by the virtual world that enables the use of the internet. Thus, the political discussion started to take place not only within the traditional public spaces, but also in the new virtual space. This article aims to discuss the traditional public space and, from it, by applying a method of deductive approach, observe the importance that is contemporary public spaces, linked to use of social networks.
