 Resumo: Este trabalho tem por objetivo destacar os principais pontos do livro Filosofia (africana) in progress: Studio su Kwasi Wiredu, publicado em italiano, no ano de 2011, da autora Diletta Mozzato. Trata-se de uma estratégia para contribuir a fim de tornar o pensamento do filósofo de Gana Kwasi Wiredu mais acessível ao público brasileiro e mais conhecido, sobretudo, por quem faz filosofia neste país. A técnica aqui utilizada foi elaborar uma síntese da referida obra, procurando manter, na medida do possível, a estrutura empregada pela escritora, que a dividiu em três partes: Da Filosofia, que tem como um dos interesses principais compreender o tema “filosofia africana” enquanto problema filosófico enfrentado por Kwasi Wiredu; Do conhecimento, em que se discute, na perspectiva de Wiredu a relação entre conhecimento filosófico e técnico-científico, as possíveis implicações disso no campo moral, além de problemas como a tradutibilidade e a relação entre universais e particulares culturais; Sobre religião, moral e política, em que se apresenta considerações de Wiredu a respeito dessas áreas.

Abstract: This work aims to highlight the main points of the book Philosophy (African) in progress: Studio su Kwasi Wiredu, published in Italian, in the year 2011, by the author Diletta Mozzato. It is a strategy to contribute in order to make the thought of the Ghanaian philosopher Kwasi Wiredu more accessible to the Brazilian public and better known, above all, by those who make philosophy in this country. The technique used here was to elaborate a synthesis of this work, trying to maintain, as far as possible, the structure used by the writer, who divided it into three parts: Philosophy, which has as one of the main interests to understand the theme “African philosophy” as philosophical problem faced by Kwasi Wiredu; From knowledge, which discusses, in Wiredu’s perspective, the relation between philosophical and technical-scientific knowledge, the possible implications of this in the moral field, as well as problems such as translatability and the relation between universal and particular cultural; On religion, morality and politics, in which Wiredu’s considerations on these areas are presented.
