Resumo: O presente artigo tem por objetivo fazer uma análise da relação entre as revoluções modernas e seu tesouro perdido a partir do pensamento de Hannah Arendt. Para tanto, utilizaremos como referencial teórico principal a obra Sobre a Revolução (1963), texto onde Hannah Arendt busca lançar alguns fios de esperança diante da envergadura das revoluções setecentistas. Nosso problema principal consiste em compreender o fenômeno revolucionário, não apenas como acontecimento histórico, mas, sobretudo como evento político, bem como perceber como os sistemas de conselhos, tesouro perdido das revoluções, representam para nossa autora um sistema capaz de garantir à participação direta dos indivíduos no governo, por meio da criação de um espaço destinado à liberdade e ao aparecimento da ação política.

Abstratc: The present paper aims to make an analysis of the relation between the modern revolutions and its lost treasure through Hannah Arendt’s thinking. Therefore, we use as main theoretical background the work On revolution (1963) in which Hannah Arendt tries to show hope before the relevance of the revolutions in the 70’s. Our main question consists in comprehend the revolutionary phenomenon, not only as a historical, but as a political event mainly, as well as to realize how the council systems, lost treasure of the revolutions, represent to the author a system able to guarantee the individuals’ direct participation in the government, through the creation of a space designed to freedom and to the advent of political action.
